Making the hard easy

Seth Godin calls it the first rule of doing work that matters: ”Go to work on a regular basis.

He continues: “Art is hard. Selling is hard. Writing is hard. Making a difference is hard.”

Some other things that are hard:

Taking ownership of your situation, no matter how dire.

Being intellectually courageous and confronting the ideas that scare you.

Changing your mind.

Making change before the pain of your circumstances compels you too.

Not being busy.

Removing all that is harmful and inessential from your life.

Seeing life as an opportunity, not a burden.

All these things are hard. But try them consistently and you begin to realise something:

The hard gets easier if you do it every single day.
