“What’s in it for me?”
The question you should be asking yourself if you wish to rise in the world:
“What’s in it for them?”
Sending a cold email? Trying to gain a new client, or set up some work experience with someone you admire? It doesn’t matter what you want. Only what they want. What they would find useful.
Meeting with a potential investor? Developing a new product for an existing customers? Modifying a sales page? Going on a date? In these cases, in all cases, the other party is asking themselves, what’s in it for me? And the only way to get what you want is to give them an answer they can’t refuse.
When everyone is thinking about themselves, it’s easy to get what you want. Just think about them too.
